# Portrait of Baccio Bandinelli [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [ANDREA DEL SARTO]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Oil on canvas, 59 x 43 cm ## Commentary Laboratory examinations performed during the last restoration in 1986 have shown that this picture is a copy, albeit a very old and good one, of the portrait mentioned by Vasari in the first edition of his artists' biographies.
