## Commentary

This picture shows the left wing of a beautiful small altarpiece which is called &#34;The Pearl of Brabant&#34;. The central panel represents the Adoration of Christ, while the right wing St Christopher. The attribution to the younger Bouts is debated, recently it was given to Dieric Bouts the Elder.
