# Boiserie and furniture [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [HORTA, Victor]() - Date: 1851-1900 - Technique: Wood ## Commentary The picture shows furnishings from the Hôtel Aubecq in Brussels. This building \(1899-1902\) was an Art Nouveau mansion designed by Victor Horta for the industrialist Octave Aubecq. It was demolished in 1950, and the furniture was dispersed in private or public collections.
