# Tractatus de Herbis [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MINIATURIST, French]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Manuscript \(Ms. Lat. 993\) ## Commentary This manuscript, an important Herbal, contains the work of Pletario and Bartolomeo Mini. It consists of 168 leaves with very rich illustrations: 22 small miniatures, 390 illustrations of herbs and plants, 5 of animals, and 50 of minerals. The illuminator worked in Bourg en Bresse, in an area bordering Savoy.
