Cup and Cover c. 1600 Silver and silvergilt, with translucent enamel arabesques, height 22,5 cm Wallace Collection, London This superb silver cup, with delicate enamel decoration features flowers interspersed with tiny animals, birds and insects. It is in the style of the German goldsmith and enameller David Altenstetter.
