## Commentary

Ramboux&#39;s drawings of the &lt;a onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/s/salimbe/oratory/index.html&#39;\)&#34; href=&#34;/html/s/salimbe/oratory/index.html&#34;&gt;fresco cycle&lt;/a&gt; in the Oratory of San Giovanni Battista, Urbino, showing only the scenes on the west wall of the oratory, suggest that by the nineteenth century a large portion of the paintings on the east wall were no longer visible.
