# Li Livres du Graunt Caam [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MINIATURIST, English]() - Date: 1351-1400 - Technique: Manuscript \(Ms. Bodley 264\) ## Commentary Li Livres du Graunt Caam c. 1400 Manuscript \(Ms. Bodley 264\) Bodleian Library, Oxford Marco Polo sets sail for the Far East. This famous English miniature of about 1400 on folio 218r shows the adventurer boarding a little boat to take him out to the ship anchored in the Venetian lagoon.
