# Apotheosis of St. Fridolin [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [SPIEGLER, Franz Joseph]() - Date: 1701-1750 - Technique: Fresco ## Commentary In the frescoes of Fridolinsmünster, Spiegler integrated the steps of a staircase into a sort of "heavenly architecture." He was given the commission for the painting in 1751.
