## Commentary

Undoubtedly, Dirck Pietersz. Crabeth&#39;s masterpieces are the stained-glass windows in the Church of St John in Gouda. The drawing shown in the picture is a design for another monumental window. It represents Adam and Eve after the expulsion from Paradise.
