## Commentary

Theodolinda Cycle \(scene No. 1\) 1430-47 Fresco Tomb Chapel of Queen Theodolinda, Cathedral, Monza In the scene depicted on the lunette of the north wall, Athari, king of the Langobards, sends ambassadors to the Frankish king Childebert, asking for the hand of his sister Ingande.
