# Palazzo Erizzo a San Martino: Façade [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [ARCHITECT, Italian]() - Date: 1451-1500 - Technique: Photo ## Commentary The palace originally was erected by the aristocratic Erizzo family in the fifteenth century. It was the birthplace of Francesco Erizzo, who became Doge in 1631 till his death in 1646. An elaborate tomb for this Doge was built in the church of San Martino, whose apse stands across the Rio della Ca' en Duo.
