# Tympanum [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MEDIEVAL SCULPTOR, French]() - Date: 1101-1150 - Technique: Stone ## Commentary The picture shows the tympanum of the right portal of the west façade of the church. It represents the Crucifixion. The carved lintel below shows the three Marys peering into the empty sarcophagus, and the angel to the right, who announces Christ's resurrection.
