# The ceiling \(detail\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MICHELANGELO Buonarroti]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Fresco ## Commentary The picture shows a transversal section of the ceiling with a smaller field of the apex of the ceiling.
