## Commentary

In the Chapelle Jacques-Cour of the cathedral there are three statues represnting praying figures of the de l&#39;Aubespine family: from left to right: Guillaume de l&#39;Aubespine, State Councilor \(1547-1629\), his wife Marie de la Châtre \(died 1626\), their son Charles de l&#39;Aubespine who was Keeper of the Seals \(1580-1653\).
