# Crucifixion and Saints \(detail\) [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [ANGELICO, Fra]() - Date: 1401-1450 - Technique: Fresco ## Commentary The main wall of the Chapter Room of the Convent is occupied by a large fresco showing the Crucifixion and saints. The original blue of the background has gone and the red which remaines accentuates the solitary figures which stand out dramatically. The large fresco is in the form of a lunette, with life-size figures.
