## Commentary

Baron&#39;s print was made after the &lt;a onclick=&#34;return OpenOther\(&#39;/html/w/watteau/antoine/2/20italia.html&#39;\)&#34; href=&#34;/html/w/watteau/antoine/2/20italia.html&#34;&gt;painting by Antoine Watteau.&lt;/a&gt; The print was included in the Recueil Julienne, the compendium of prints after Watteau&#39;s work. In fact it was Baron&#39;s print that gave The Italian Comedians its title.
