# Jupiter seated [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [BANDINELLI, Baccio]() - Date: 1501-1550 - Technique: Marble, height 260 cm ## Commentary With the statuary, Bandinelli set himself ambitious goals that he was hard put to achieve. Most turned out badly, and several were hastily converted by simple changes in their attributes into equivalent figures from Classical mythology, for display elsewhere.
