# Nine Heroines [View the canonical artwork record]() ## Artwork - Artist: [MINIATURIST, French]() - Date: 1401-1450 - Technique: Manuscript \(Ms. français 12559\) ## Commentary Nine Heroines c. 1404 Manuscript \(Ms. français 12559\) Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris This manuscript contains two miniatures depicting nine heroes \(on folio 125r\) and nine heroines \(on folio 125v\) depicting the eighteen figures in the same sequence as the fresco cycle in the Castello della Manta.
