## Commentary

Four episodes in the life of David occupy the four triangular sections of this table-top executed for Cardinal Albert of Brandenburg, Archbishop of Mainz. The episodes are the following: the women proceed out of Jerusalem to meet Saul and David; Bathsheba bathing; David sends Uriah to the siege of Rabbath; the prophet Nathan before David.
