## Commentary

Illustrations for Mandeville&#39;s Travels 1400-25 Manuscript \(MS Add. 24189\), 225 x 180 mm British Library, London This parchment codex contains no text, but a series of 28 full-page miniatures \(tinted grisaille drawings on green parchment\) illustrating the Voyage d&#39;outre mer, attributed to Sir John Mandeville \(active c. 1357\). The miniaturist is called the Master of the Mandeville Travels. The drawing on folio 16 shows glassmaking.
