## Commentary

Madonna and Child Enthroned with Adoring Angels c. 1430 Tempera on panel, gold ground, 67 x 53 cm Private collection Formerly, this painting was in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. It was sold for the Acquisitions Fund in 2013. This panel was the central panel of a triptych. The lower part of the panel was cut, originally it showed the Madonna as a full length figure. The Madonna was probably based on a Bohemian type.
