Frescoes in the ballroom of Palazzo Zenobio, Venice (1695-98)

The large Baroque Palazzo Zenobio was designed by Antonio Gaspari over a pre-existing 14th-century building. The interior was decorated by the most brilliant artists in Venice, Louis Dorigny, Luca Carlevaris and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Abbondio Stazio was responsible for the complex stucco decoration.

The core element around which the rooms of palace are organized is the large double-story main hall (ballroom) complete with an orchestra balcony, and embellished with complex stucco work created by Abbondio Stazio sometime later than the frescoes painted by Louis Dorigny.
