The Place de l'Étoile (renamed in 1970 as Place Charles de Gaulle) is a large road junction in Paris, France, the meeting point of twelve straight avenues including the Champs-Élysées. The Arc de Triomphe stands at its centre. It was one of the main areas of Baron Haussmann's activities.
