COMMENTARY

UNDERLINED TERMS ARE DEFINED IN THE GLOSSARY.

This picture is the right wing of a beautiful small which is called "The Pearl of Brabant". The central panel represents the Adoration of Christ, while the left wing St John the Baptist. The attribution to the younger Bouts is debated, recently it was given to Dieric Bouts the Elder.

The archive catalogues no further works by this artist.
